Pleasantly surprised by the Eltham branch of Costa Coffee. Behind the normal shop front, Costa stretches back to include some comfy sofas and tables where you can spread out and relax.
Staff very friendly and helpful, and the coffee (and the chocolate brownie thing I ate) was good too.
"Do you have a Costa Coffee Card?" I was asked. No. "Would you like one?" But when the lady looked by the till to give me one, there were none left. Cue much scurrying into the back office before a profuse apology that they had run out - Eltham-ites must be keen on the Costa loyalty card, I think! -

Staff are polite and the whole place is generally clean. Coffee is pretty good. However the last few times I went there were crying babies and kids causing havoc. I'm not saying its the fault of the staff but if you want (and are paying) to have a relatively tranquil atmosphere then I can't recommend here at all.
